Empties #8

I have a lot of empties that I collected since the last one and I thought I would share with you some of my beauty trash.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo
This is a cult favourite among the majority of the internet and I love it too. Of course, it is not as good as Lush's Grease Lightning as that just gets rid of all my spots when they are at their worst. I was without Grease Lightning for a while and Effaclar Duo did a good job. Now I use it to help calm down redness near spots and to get rid of the last bumpy bits of breakouts. I already have another one on the go and I love using it daily.

Natural Collection Lash Care Mascara in Clear
I didn't use this as a mascara and more as a cheap brow gel as at the time my funds were going a tad bit low. It was grand as a brow gel but it wasn't outstanding. It kept my brows in place but I had to fully brush through the product into my brows or it would be crispy and that's not good! I wouldn't repurchase this again as I found a much better brow gel that works wonders, Essence Make Me Brow.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
This was the first makeup product I ever got and my Mam bought it for me when I was 13. It is a nice BB cream but it is 2/3 shades darker than my natural Caspar the friendly ghost skin. It gave a nice natural coverage and had a nice SPF in it which is perfect for when Ireland actually gets some nice weather. I wouldn't buy this again as it wasn't the right shade for my skin and Maybelline is not cruelty free.

Ultra Pure Witch Hazel Soothing Lotion
I used this as a toner and I enjoyed how refreshing it was and it helped to keep face demons at bay. I noticed after using it for a week or two that it dried out my face and made it feel dehydrated and tight so I decided to dilute it down with water, half and half. This helped hugely and stopped my skin from feeling tight. I would repurchase this again but not for a while as there are other toners I want to try out.

Botanics Hydrating All Bright Night Cream
Firstly, this smells amazing! I would buy this scent as a perfume if it was available. This is a nice moisturiser, I used it at night as it said on the tub and it was too heavy to wear during the day under makeup. This cream wasn't a deep moisturiser and I have normal/dry skin so it didn't help any of my dry and flaky areas of my face. I talked about how much I loved this in a previous empties but my skin has changed a lot since then. I wouldn't repurchase this again.

Spoilt Rotten Vanilla Body Butter
I received this in a Christmas set 4 years ago and I think it may have gone a little bad since getting it and using it. This was a very thick body butter and would take 10-20 minutes to soak in to my skin and left me feeling a little sticky which doesn't bother me too much. This body butter left my skin feeling soft and it had a nice vanilla fragrance that lingered for a couple of hours but wasn't overpowering. I wouldn't repurchase this again as it was so thick and took a long time to soak into my skin.

Boots Simply Sensitive Protecting Day Moisturiser
I like this product so much that I have another one on the go already. This has a light texture which is great for a day moisturiser and sinks in quickly, it also has an SPF of 15 which is very important to wear every day. For anyone that doesn't like a moisturiser that smells like sun cream, I'm afraid you may not like this one as it contains that chemical smell. I don't mind it too much though.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Dry Shampoo
I already told you about this awful dry shampoo in recent post. This did not work for my hair at all. It got rid of some grease from my hair but left this greasy shine which was nearly worse. I had to use a lot of product to get my hair to look semi normal. I will not be repurchasing this product ever.

Impulse True Love Body Spray
You wouldn't think an eighteen year old would still have this? Well I do and I am glad I have gone onto bigger and better things than this scent. It isn't that bad but whenever I sprayed it, it would bring me back to a family holiday to France when I was 13. The scent never really lasted that long and I felt that I had to constantly reapply it and so for those reasons I wouldn't repurchase it.

Radox Feel Pampered With Shea Butter and Ginger Shower Cream
I normally don't show shower gels as I normally use the one that's in my shower but I got this last year as a hamper from a place I was doing work experience in. This smelt amazing but the scent never lasted for long and it wasn't that moisturising which it claimed it did. I enjoyed using it for its smell though but I wouldn't repurchase it again.

What's in you beauty trash?

Dublin Haul

Last week I stayed with my cousin for a few days, and we did a tad bit of shopping. I normally don't do hauls as it takes me ages to collect enough items but I purchased a nice few things. I thought I would buy a lot of clothes but that was not the case at all!

The first place I went to was Lush on Grafton Street which if you know me I love. I wasn't there since Christmas so I needed to stock up a little. There are 2 Lushs in Dublin but I much prefer the Grafton Street one as I find it has a better layout and the employees are nicer there.

No Drought Dry Shampoo
I had this on my list for ages as I am finding that less spray dry shampoos work for me and I decided I would try this powder one as there are very few on the market. It smells like lemonade! It was a little pricey compared to other dry shampoos, €10.25 to be exact, but I think it may take me longer to get through the bottle. I have tried it out once with a little help with another dry shampoo and they both worked well together. I will give you an update on how I am getting on with it.

Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask
This face mask has to be my all time favourite Lush mask and I've tried quite a few, 9 to be exact! The last time I was in Lush it was out of stock and this time I picked up one of the last in the place. It is very exfoliating and leaves my skin feeling smooth and fresh. Also, the smell is divine, if you like citrus then you'll love this.

I got 2 samples as well, Ro's Argan Body Conditioner and Ultrabland Cleanser, as I heard great things about both of them and one of them has my name in it but I knew I didn't have the money or the space in my suitcase to bring them back!

Next stop was Jervis Shopping Centre to Forever 21!

Floral Open-Shoulder Dress
I am normally not a dress person at all but when my cousin suggested for me to try it on I fell in love. It is a beautiful dress that is mid thigh length, perfect for any Summer event. I love for it can be dressed up or down, with a pair of cropped jeans it would be perfect for everyday where if it is a little on the cool side and by itself for a party or if it decides to get warm again in Ireland, please.

Last but by the means least Primark on Mary Street which is 3 floors of all things Primark.

PS The Come Clean Cloths
I was very curious about these as they look identical to The Makeup Eraser and my Cleanse Off Mitt was in need of replacing. It's a fleece material and very soft and takes off makeup amazingly with just water. I've been using one this week as I left my Cleanse Off Mitt in Dublin. So far, I like it but I'd love to do an in depth comparison of the 2 cloths.

Coral Powerbank
I did not intend to buy this at all but it was only €9 and I knew it would be handy to have when I am in Edinburgh and my phone or my iPod is low on battery. I love the colour of this powerbank, it is so vibrant. This battery is 4000 MAH which means it can charge my iPod nearly 4 times and my phone twice. I bought this on a complete whim and should have really checked the specs of my iPod and phone but I don't regret buying it.

Duo Lash Adhesive in Clear
I bought individual lashes a few months back but the glue dried out completely so I couldn't use them. I haven't tried this out yet but I have heard that this is a very good eyelash glue and it stays put for ages.

Sultry Fake Lashes
I haven't tried strip eyelashes before and I thought it would be best to start off with cheap ones to see if I like them. I got these as I have heard a few people talk about the Primark fake eyelash range and these seemed the most interesting.

Hydrating Avocado Sheet Mask
I tried out one of Primark's sheet masks before and I wanted to try out this avocado one as I love me some avocado. I like to keep the sheet masks for between the Lush face masks as I can't always go and get a new fresh face mask. I hope this one smells like avocado then I'll be pretty happy.

Have you bought anything nice recently? Let me know.

10 Childhood Shows I Miss

I associate a lot of TV shows with my childhood since technology like tablets, the internet and all that in general didn't come into my life until I was around 11. I am a 90s baby and I feel that childrens TV was at its prime and I thought I would share with you some of my favourite TV shows I miss. I think I should mention that I had a Chorus box, now Virgin, when I was small and I watched a lot from CBBC but my parents got rid of it due to my brother watching so much TV. We still had channels but they weren't very good, yes RTÉ I'm talking to you.

Drake and Josh
Drake and Josh was one of my favourite TV shows and was always on and I think it still sometimes runs on Nickelodeon. The adventures of 2 step brothers who had complete different personalities and an evil little sister who plotted pranks. I can't believe there was only 4 seasons as I feel like I still haven't watched all the episodes.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody
Here I am in your life, here you are in mine. Yes, we have a suite life most of the time. Another show I would happily watch. I used to wish I had a twin so I could be like Zack and Cody and for a while my cousin and I called each other Zack and Cody, I was Cody. Even though I loved The Suite Life I didn't like The Suite Life on Deck as much as it just wasn't as good and Maddie wasn't in it any more.

I needed a new Nickelodeon TV show to fill the void in my heart that Drake and Josh left and that was iCarly. There's actually a teaser for iCarly in the last Drake and Josh episode. I enjoyed watching iCarly as it was completely different to everything else. It was about a girl who had a web show with  her two best friends. I loved Sam as she did what she wanted whenever she wanted.

Hannah Montana
I was obsessed with Hannah Montana and everything to do with Miley Cyrus. I had all the books, albums and plenty of t-shirts with her face on it. I even went to see The Hannah Montana Movie in the cinema with a few friends. I loved the show and Lily and Miley's friendship.

The Emperor's New School
I used to wake up early on a Saturday morning to watch this cartoon. Kronk and Yzma trying to get rid of Kuzco in any way shape or form including trying to turn him into an alpaca.

The Fairly Odd Parents
When I heard they were getting rid of Timmy for a rebrand last year I was annoyed. I loved this show and the crazy antics that happened in a world of fairy god parents. Because of this show I badly wanted my own fairy god parents but in reality I just wanted Wanda.

Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide
Did I watch this show to help me through middle school? NO! I just liked the dramatic things that would happen in this school and also Gordy going round trying to kill random wild animals that would randomly get into the school. I remember rushing to finish my homework to watch this show and loving every minute.

The Story of Tracey Beaker
Switching it up with some CBBC content, the iconic Story of Tracey Beaker and Tracey Beaker Returns based off the book by Jacqueline Wilson which is about Tracey Beaker who lives in a children's home hoping her famous mom will come back and rescue her from her situation. I don't even remember does she even meet her mother but that was besides the point. Thinking back this show was quite unique as it wasn't all prim and perfect and it is a reality for some children more than the likes of Hannah Montana or iCarly.

The Sarah Jane Adventures
One of the weird and wonderful sci-fi shows that I don't remember too much about what went on in it. There was definitely aliens and an evil Siri who nearly kills Sarah Jane and a neighbour who would help her do things. I don't remember much of it but I do know I loved watching it.

Lilo and Stitch
Lilo and Stitch going off to collect Jumbas missing experiments was something I enjoyed watching on a Saturday morning. Pleakley trying to help them but normally ends up worrying or being the get away driver. I always wondered why Jumba wasn't the main guy for capturing the experiments as they were his experiments but that's a different story for a different day.

What TV shows do you miss?

Regreted Purchases

I've always shared products I love but I have never talked about products that I regret buying. Just because these products didn't work for me doesn't mean they don't work on anybody. I am disappointed with how these products worked or didn't work but I feel that I should share it all the same.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Dry Shampoo
This did absolute nothing for my hair and I actually think it made my hair more shiny and nasty looking. It states that it fights oily roots, refreshes, revitalises, gives light texture, gives light volume and great coconut fragrance but to me it did nothing and it doesn't even smell like coconuts. I was really disappointed with this dry shampoo as I did a lot of research trying to find a new one that I would like and that didn't break the bank either. It is worse than Batiste Dry Shampoo in my hair and that's saying a lot.

Soap & Glory Total Drama Clean Makeup Remover
I bought this to spot clean my eye shadow brushes and it works perfectly for that but I used this micellar water to remove my makeup and it makes my skin feel so dry and tight. I have normal skin so maybe if you have oily skin it may suit you better but for me no. It doesn't remove eye makeup well either and if you have the misfortune of getting it into your eye well it's painful. I thought it would be great to have when I want to fall into bed and want a simple one step process. It works perfectly for spot cleaning my brushes but I will probably find one I can use to remove my makeup too.

Maybelline Big Eyes Volum' Express Mascara
I don't have a problem with the formula for this mascara, it's the Upper lash wand. It is awful, it clumps my lashes together and makes them look straight and horrible. The lower lash wand is grand as it coats my bottom lashes perfectly and the formula lasts. For €13.50, it's not worth it just to use one side that you can simply get by itself for much cheaper.

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in Light Porcelian
This foundation is the worst I have ever tried out and I regret buying this so much as I can't make myself wear this as it is awful. This foundation is a mousse and is very hard to blend and after 2 uses your brush looks like it hasn't been washed in 2 years.

Left: Rimmel Match Perfection
Right: Rimmel Stay Matte
It has a different undertone compared to Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and sinks into any lines and gathers around dry patches and spots. I feel that it never sets on my face and one wrong turn half my face could have slipped off.

PS Purifying Cucumber Peel Off Mask
I talked about this in my New In Beauty post recently and I talked about how I wasn't a huge fan of it. It didn't smell of cucumber all I could smell was chemicals. It was nice enough until it hardened and it was time to peel it off and boy was it painful! The mask tugged on all my spots and every single baby hair. I felt as if I decided to wax my face. Not all of it came off either as I had to use a cleanser and then an exfoliator to try to remove the last stubborn pieces. It was only €1 from Primark so I am not really complaining about how I wasted a whole pile of money but if it was more expensive I would be a little annoyed.

What products do you regret purchasing?

Giving A Helping Hand

Something I haven't really talked about before on my blog is volunteering. This year, I did a lot more volunteering than I have had any other year and I have enjoyed it. I thought I'd share with you what I did and what I thought of it.

I might as well start off with all the things I did in school as I did quite a few. In September, I joined the Youth SVP (Saint Vincent de Paul) in my school. We had a huge committee, unfortunately I didn't get any of the jobs like chairperson, PRO, treasurer or secretary etc, but it didn't bother me a whole pile. We met biweekly discussing fundraising ideas and how to make the school a better place for everyone. I enjoyed the experience of trying to be creative and thinking up of things to do. We did a lot of fundraising with a food and clothes collection, a Christmas Jumper Day where everyone had to donate €2 and we organised a St. Patrick's Day Dance for the elderly. There was a showcase in May where I had to write a song about a summary of the year and I suppose that was my time to shine. I loved preforming it except that I forgot one of the lines and just kept smiling.

I also was a part of the Library Team in my school, the library was closed as long as I could remember being in the school, whenever you would look in through the window all you could see was a mess. I started helping out in January when I found out one of my friends, Katie, had been helping all year. We did a book donation drive to get in new books as there was a lot of Goosebumps and Enid Blyton books that had been in this library way before some of us where born. Trying to put the books in alphabetical order was probably the hardest and it ended up we only got the senior section done as it took so much time. I enjoyed coming in during lunch every day and chilling with people of like minds when it comes to books and reading. Hopefully, I will help out next year trying to encourage others to come to the library.

The last thing and by far my favourite was helping out with two Speech and Drama classes. This actually came accidentally as I did my Certificate of Speech and Drama in TY and I wanted to do the Associates Degree but my lovely teacher persuaded me against it as it is a whole pile of work with a written and practical exam in Griffith College Dublin and I'm glad she did as I wouldn't have been able to do it. I helped out with 2 classes on a Monday from 4:20-6:00. I enjoyed working with these kids so much and I miss their little smiley faces when I would come through the door after walking down from my bus stop. It brightened up my Mondays and helped me get through my classes. I also got to see these kids develop. There was one girl who wouldn't talk at all for the first two months, I hadn't heard her ever speak but during the year she changed so much, now she is confident enough to talk and even talked to me sometimes.

My Speech and Drama told my Mam a couple of years ago that I would make the perfect Speech and Drama teacher and I never understood why she said that until now as I experienced what it would be like and I love it.

I think the volunteering that I did this year has helped me get through one of the worst school years I have ever had. It's kept me focused while distracting me for a while. I enjoyed all the groups I was a part of and I am going to miss all of them next year.

Have you done any volunteering before?

Thanks for being awesome,

New In Beauty

It's been a while since I have shown you what new beauty bits I have bought. As usual, I didn't splurge on makeup, I like picking up a few bits and pieces but nothing overly expensive.

Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer in 10 Porcellain
I have heard a lot about this concealer from the Blogging world and when I heard Ailbhe from The Red Brunette talk about it on Snapchat, I knew I needed to get it. As a pale person, it can be very hard for me to find a concealer that suits me. This is everything I thought it would be, it's full coverage covers dark circles, spots and the lot and it is a good match for my skin. So far I can't fault it except I've used so much of it already.

Essence Make Me Brow in Soft Browny Brows
This is another thing I bought as I heard a lot about it from the Blogging world. It was intriguing as it was being compared to the much loved Benefit Gimme Brow. I've never used a tinted brow gel before and this one has blown my mind. It makes my brows look decent in 10 seconds for a more natural look and if I want to go for more of a bold look I can put it over a brow pomade.
It doesn't wear off or come off in your hand as you scratch your face. The only thing is I find that too much product comes out so I have to scrape the spoolie off the sides of the tube.

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette
I picked up this palette after wanting a new one to play with as even though I love my Too Faced palette, I wanted another palette to experiment with and use the 2 to make more looks. I was originally going to get the Iconic 1 but I realised this one had a better and different selection of shadows.

I love using this in combo with my Chocolate Bar palette. There is a lot of fallout with this eye shadows so much so that if I am using them I apply my base afterwards. They last pretty well on my eyes around 6-8 hours which is much better compared to my Sleek one.

Catrice Prime & Fine Lightning Drops
I bought this on a whim, I was curious as I have a few foundations that are a little darker than my skin tone. I used it with my Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream and it worked fine. I haven't used the lightning drops very often due to not wearing much makeup but I have a few ideas what I could use it for other than lightning foundation for example: concealer, to highlight or an eye shadow primer. I'll give you an update on what I think about it when I try it out more.

Primark PS Face Masks
Primark has upped their game when it comes to makeup and beauty, the quality has improved so much. I remember buying a foundation brush a few years ago and it kept constantly shedding but now I have a fan brush and it is wonderful. Moving on, I picked up 3 masks, Brightening Pearl Sheet Mask, Plumping Vitamin E Sheet Mask and Purifying Peel Off Mask in Cucumber. I have tried out 2, Brightening Pearl Sheet Mask and the Peel Off Mask. I enjoyed using the sheet mask, I found it very relaxing after I had my Irish oral. I didn't find that it brightened my face but it made my face feel nice and smooth. I used the Peel Off Mask the day I finished my school exams, even though I was out sick for some of them, I was working towards them since Easter and I wanted to treat myself. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this mask at all, it didn't smell of cucumber and was a nightmare to peel off and pull at all my baby hairs.

What new additions have you got to your makeup collection?

New Years Goals Update

I did a post back in January telling you about some of my New Years Goals and I think it's time to do a much-needed update.

Do My Driving Test

Since January, I have finished my 12 mandatory lessons and I have booked my test, I haven't got a date yet but the earliest it will be is in July. I am doing additional lessons at the moment to prepare me for the test. There's still a lot of things I need to work at and iron out.

Upload 1 Video A Month On YouTube

I have been very consistent with uploading it may not be on the exact same day every month but I have uploaded 7 videos, 5 covers, 1 original song and 1 recap video when I was on my Gaisce trip in May. I am kinda getting a little bored of putting up covers, so I want to branch out a little. I am happy with my progress and I hope to upload more during the Summer.

Save €10 A Month

I have decided to get rid of this goal solely because I have a job now and 1/4 of my wages are going into savings which is more than €10 a month.

Do 5 Collabs

So far, I have done 2 collabs one with Ailbhe and a link up with Guilianna. I don't have any other plans for collabs yet but normally they happen pretty quickly anyways.

Learn How To Use My Camera Properly

You have permission to shame me but I still have no idea how my camera works. I know how to take a picture, zoom, view photos, record and put a timer on. All things you learn in the first 5 minutes of holding a camera. I hope to learn more about different functions during the Summer.

Read 12 Books

I am a good bit ahead of schedule, I am on my 8th book this year and I hope to read 7 books during the Summer so that's a total of 13. I have a huge pile of books that I look forward to get through. I have to finish Harry Potter and Throne of Glass series.

Use Instagram More Often

I have been very good at posting consistently since January. I normally post twice a week and I hope to keep that going throughout the Summer. I have really gotten into Instagram but I never had the time to have a good explore through it so I hope with me having some free time, I'll be able to.

Survive School

So far, so good I guess! This year was the absolute worst school year, I never had any time for myself and I am glad it is over. I was sick the week of my Summer exams, I ended up doing three at school and had to take home four. I don't think my results will be to great as I wasn't in exam mode and as I was sick I couldn't do any study.

Go to 2 College Open Days

I didn't go to any open days yet but I will definitely go in the second half of this year. I am still unsure about what I want to do. I would love to do Pharmacy but it's a lot of points, the course is supposed to be hard and I don't know will I be able for it. I also don't like the idea of going into something so specific as what happens if I don't like it? There's still so much I am so unsure about.

How are your goals going?

The April and May Edition

So, another two months have flown by and now I am just starting my Summer holidays, whoop whoop! It's been a long and hard school year and I am looking forward to relaxing and taking it easy for the next three months. I am going to do something slightly different in this post as I want to try out something different, instead of having favourites, I would like to do a recap of the month with things I did, things I've watched, books I've read and things I am liking. It is not a huge difference but it is a little tweak! Here is what I have been doing the past two months

Things I've Been Watching

13 Reasons Why
I think everyone and their dog has watched this show and if you haven't it is based on a novel of the same name by Jay Asher where the main character Hannah Baker kills herself and leaves 13 tapes addressed to different people about what they did to her and that's what led to her dying. This show is not for the faint-hearted and please don't watch it if you are under the age of 15, I know you mightn't care because I am just a girl typing this but this show deals with a lot and its 18s for a reason. I really enjoyed the show, I loved the plot and all the characters especially Clay.

Beauty and The Beast
I haven't watched the original in ages but a spur of the moment decision in Galway City found my cousin and I with two tickets to see the remake of Beauty and The Beast. It was beautiful and I loved all the characters especially Lafou and Mrs. Potts. I think Emma Watson did a wonderful job at portraying Belle. I was on the verge of tears during the majority of the movie and the music is great and I have another playlist with some of it in it.

French Films
Other the Easter I got a loan of some French films that my French teacher has. She kindly gave me 5 and I only got to watch 4. I really enjoyed watching them as there are very unusual compared to Hollywood movies, they're quite abstract and slightly weird at times. My favourite was definitely SuperCondriaque, the plot is very bizarre but is hilarious all the same. It is about an acute hypochondria, who with the help of his doctor, tries to find love and as a predictable ending he ends up with the doctor's sister.

I know I am late to this one and I see why everyone talks about it as it is so good. If you haven't watched Sherlock before it is a modern twist on the classic story of Sherlock Holmes played by the great Benedict Cumberbatch. I have watched Season 1 and 2 and they are both amazing and I look forward to watching the next 2. Even though there are only 3 episodes in each season, each episode is 90 minutes long. It may seem like a long time but you get sucked in at the start and then spat out at the end thinking that you sat down to watch it 30 minutes ago.

Memories I've Made

My 18th
So, I'm now an adult I guess! If you haven't read my birthday post where I did my first ever outfit shot and talked about things I have accomplished in the past 18 years of existence on this planet. It still seems hard to believe that I am 18, it is such an imaginary milestone. I remember when I was younger thinking it was such a big deal and now it's not. I really enjoyed my birthday though, I went out to dinner with some of my friends and I really enjoyed the night.

Gaisce Hike
Last week, I went on a 3 day adventure journey as part of my silver Gaisce award that I am doing. For anyone that doesn't know what Gaisce is, it is the Irish version of The Duke of Edinburgh Award. I did various activities from rock climbing, bog running, canoeing, hiking, orienteering and bivy making. I enjoyed the few days as it was a break away from school coming up to the end of year exams and also the group of girls I was with were lovely.

Books I've Read

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
I finally got this book finished and it took me a month to do so. This is the second book in the Throne of Glass series. I found this book slow to start but after a while you get sucked into it and there are many plot twists. Anything you thought about characters before reading this book completely changes.

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
This is the third book in the Throne of Glass series, I found this book slightly different to the other two. Firstly it has a completely different setting to Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight and there are 3 storylines going on at the one time. I really enjoyed reading this as you get to see a completely different side to Celaena.

Nowhere's Child by Kari Rosvall
I picked this book up at my school library on a whim as I read the back and it seemed very interesting. I normally don't venture towards non-fiction but this interested me as it is about World War Two. The author talks about her life and how she never knew what happened to her from being born until she was adopted by her parents and it wasn't until she was 64 she found out that she was part of Hitler's Spring of Life programme to create an Aryan race. I read this in 2 days which is not usual for me, I found it is interesting I didn't want to put it down at all.

I've put out 4 videos this past 2 months, one an original song about turning 18, 2 covers Mercy by Shawn Mendes and Nothing Without You by Emma Blackery and a recap video of my Gaisce hike.

What are your favourites this month?

Thanks for being awesome,

This Summer Reading List

So this is the last part of my The Summer series and its all about books I want to read. I have a huge stack of books that I haven't had a chance to read yet but now is my chance. Some of these books featured in another post on books I want to read awhile back. I want to read eight books during the Summer, to some this may seem like nothing and for some this may seem like a lot and to me I'm in the middle ground. I hope to get the majority of these read but if I don't get the last one read before the end of the Summer I'm not going to be upset over it. As you can probably tell, the majority of my list is Harry Potter or Sarah J. Maas related.

A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Screenplay

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas

13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher

There are also a few books I would like to get but I know I won't get them finished and I want to keep this list as near to realistic as possible.

Doing It by Hannah Witton

How To Be A Bawse by Lily Singh

This Summer TV and Movies List

Welcome to the second installment of this little mini series and today I am going to be sharing with you what shows and movies I want to watch during the Summer. This year is the first time I have ever had Netflix, my Dad has refused to pay for it but now I can afford to get it myself. If you have any suggestions of good shows, movies or documentaries on Netflix please tell me as I love taking suggestions. I don't want to spend my whole Summer watching stuff so I can't include everything that I want to watch.

American Horror Story Hotel

I have watched season 1-4 of AHS two years ago and I fell in love but I haven't gone near the show since as I wanted to be able to binge watch a season or two. I have heard a lot about Hotel but I look forward to falling back into the crazy world of AHS.

Orange Is The New Black

I watched part of the first season last year and I really enjoyed it but this time I hope to watch all of it. I've heard such good things about seasons 1,2 and 4. Also, season 5 is coming out pretty soon so I'll have 5 seasons to watch.

Making a Murderer

This was all the rage last year but with me Netflixless I couldn't do much. I love an auld murder mystery and that's exactly what this is.

Once Upon A Time

My brother raves about this show and is totally obsessed and keeps telling me to get into it. All I know is that it is about all the different fairy tale/ Disney characters that all live in the same universe. It sounds interesting.

RuPauls Drag Race

I have watched this show on a few occasions and I love it. I am normally not someone who will sit down to watch a reality TV show except this one. It is haven't heard of it, it's a drag queen competition where the drag queens have to do different challenges to try to not get eliminated.

Sherlock Season 3

I watched and really enjoyed Sherlock season 1 and 2 and I can't wait to get my teeth into season 3. I love how different Sherlock is to different TV shows, I feel like the creators did this on purpose as Sherlock is a very unusual character as the episodes are an hour and a half long.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

I loved Guardians of the Galaxy and when I heard that there was a sequel I was so happy. I haven't gotten to see it yet, it didn't suit me to go see it in cinema when it came out but I hope it will be released on DVD or something during the Summer so I can see Baby Groot once again.

Despicable Me 3

I know I am one of the biggest children ever but I just want to see it. The original came out when I was 11 and I really enjoyed the movie. I didn't really bother watching the spin off Minions because I had gone out of the yellow stage when it came out. The trailer looks really good so I have high hopes for this film and I hope it stays like that.

This list is going to keep me busy!

What's on your TV and movie list at the moment?

This Summer Bucket List

I know it's weird to see me on a Monday but I had a brain wave at the start of the month to do this and here I am. I want to make a bucket list this Summer and all the things I want to do, normally I do one but I never share it but I thought I would share it with you. There will be two other posts this week one will be all the books I want to read and the other one is about all the shows and movies I want to watch.

Save €300 For Car

I have over €700 saved for my car and during the Summer I hope to get up to €1000 this Summer. That may sound a lot but since I have a job it might make it easier. To break that down I hope to save €25 a week which doesn't seem as daunting. I know I won't get the car this year but I hope I can get it in the next year or two.

My scrapbook is in good need of an update as I haven't updated it since last Summer and I have loads of things stuck in the back that I need to put into it. I really enjoy scrapbooking but I find it hard to find the time and I always forget to print off photos.

Camp NaNoWriMo

I hope to do Camp NaNoWriMo this year again. If you haven't heard of Camp NaNoWriMo, it is a challenge you do in July to write a story and it can be as long as you like, last year mine was around 10,000 words. I hope to do it again as I know I won't be able to do it in November with school and all. I really enjoyed it last year and I hope my story will be better this time around.

I hope to upload at least twice a month during the holidays and maybe get a head start on organising videos from September to December as I won't have as much time come September, yay Leaving Cert!

Twitter Chats

I want to start getting back into doing weekly Twitter chats, I found during this school year, I didn't have time and if I did I wasn't in the mood to do one or there wasn't one on. I hope to do one at least once a week as I love finding new bloggers and chatting to the ones I already know.

By the end of the Summer, I want to all my blog posts and YouTube videos planned until Christmas and up to October started. I'm afraid that come September I mightn't be able to blog regularly which is horrible to think about as I have been blogging for over two years. I also want to plan what I am going to do regarding my corner of the Internet when it comes to exam season.

Play More Music

This year my guitar has been left at the sidelines of my life which is unusual as I have been playing it for 3 years and I used to practice every day. I want to get back into this habit as I found it stress relieving and it's nice to get really into a song.

What do you want to do this Summer?

10 Things I Can't Live Without

I feel like there are some times people can't live without excluding food, water and shelter. It's one of those topics that you have to think about a lot and see if it was gone would you truly miss it. I found it difficult to make this list but stuck with it and kept thinking. What I love about these sorts of posts is that everyone is different and the things I have in mine, you mightn't have in yours.

My Dog

I have spoken about my dog a few times here but nothing huge. My dog's name is Buster and she is a golden retriever. I have had her since I was 4 years old so I don't really remember much of the world without her. She is my best friend and I know that she doesn't have as many days left on this planet as she used to. She is such a gentle and friendly dog and I love her to absolute pieces.

My Guitar

The guitar I have right now isn't my first one but it still means a lot to me. I got it for Christmas two years ago and I named in Spark, I like naming my guitars my other one was called Squirtle. I don't have much time to play it like I used to. I remember in third year every day after I finished my homework I would have a twenty minute jamming session but now I normally play on the weekends. I also write a lot of music which is quite therapeutic.

I don't know where I would be without music, a lot of bus trips would be very boring without it. I have loved music since I was really young, both playing it and listening to it, I find it relaxing and can really take me out of a bad mood.

Books, little worlds printed on pages, I love escaping into a different world of Harry Potter, Celaena Sardothien or the many other characters that are within books. I enjoy reading after a long day and I find it so relaxing and wonderful.

I have many notebooks, some have ideas for blog posts, short stories, school related stuff and to do lists. I love being able to write words onto these blank pages and make something interesting even if it is just a to do list. There is nothing nicer than find a really cute notebook in a shop and buying it for the sole purpose of writing in it and using it as a prop for blog and Instagram pictures.

My iPod

This is my mini assistant, I do the majority of my social media on it and anything else. I even used to use it to take blog pictures. Without it I would have to spend a lot more time sitting at my laptop while with my iPod I can take it on the go. I watch YouTube on it too which helps to relax me after a long day.

My Skincare Routine

Without my skincare products, my skin wouldn't be the way it is now. I never had really bad acne but the occasional breakout comes and goes. I enjoy taking care of my skin and treating it to hydrating moisturisers and face masks.

I really enjoy using makeup, I love the creativity that's involved and how it can enhance the features you already love about yourself. Without makeup, I don't think I would be as creative or have burned a big hole in my pocket from buying new things. I love experimenting with looks especially eyeshadow as I have only gotten into using it in the past year or so. I don't think I would be as confident if I didn't have makeup as a simple bit of concealer can change everything.

I love travelling, I have been to a few countries but I hope to go to a lot more in the future. It would be horrible to imagine what life would be like if we weren't allowed to go to different countries, people with the travelling bug like me would have a pretty hard time. My travel bucket list keeps expanding, my most recent edition is Chernobyl. It may sound like an unusual place to go but it has been opened to tourists since 2011 to go on a tour inside the exclusion zone and this is something I am very interested in but I know some people think I am crazy.

Without an education, I wouldn't be able to read or write or even sit here and construct this blog post, I wouldn't know about radioactivity or be able to learn another language. Sometimes, I take my education for granted which is such a first world problem when over 50 million children can't attend school for some reason or another. I wouldn't be able to learn about over countries and want to visit them one day.

Is there anything you can't live without?
