What's in My Handbag

Hey!
I love seeing what's in my handbag videos and blog posts and here is my own. My handbag doesn't get to go out very often due to the fact that I am too busy with this whole Leaving Cert yoke which I am already sick of. This is a collab with one of my good blogger friends Guilianna from Guilianna Marie.

My handbag is from Zara and I bought it around April of this year and I love it. It's big enough to put everything you need into it but it is small enough that it doesn't look huge and you can't over fill it. I've used it when I was in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.

The most important thing that's in my handbag is my wallet, I bought this in Stradivarius in Tenerife last Christmas. I love this size as I can put my cash, cones and all my store cards and student card into. The zip has become a tad bit faulty though, so I might try to get that fixed as I love the quirkiness of this wallet.

I always bring earphones with me especially when I am going on a bus or train by myself. I normally don't listen to music out and about as I like to stay cautious as you never know what's going to happen. The ones I'm currently using are JVC Gummy Boost Stereo Earphones, they are the perfect shape for my ears and the sound quality is good in them for less than €10.

I have some pads, painkillers and a pen tucked into the side of my bag for cases of emergency. I am always going to use these items as they come in handy when you are in a tight situation.

In a makeup bag, I usually have lip balm, hand cream, perfume samples, setting spray and whatever lipstick I am wearing on that day.

I keep a small canvas bag for times when you aren't given a paper bag in shops or if your unfaithful bag rips, that has happened on many occasions for me. I also think it is important is to be kinder to the environment and by having a reusable bag it helps me use less disposable bags.

Most of the time there is food of some sort in it as I get hungry easily so that's handy when the hunger monster shows up.

My phone and my iPod are always there including a battery pack just in case they are low on juice. I bought mine in Primark for €9 and it is great. Firstly, I love the coral colour and also it can charge my iPod and my phone twice!

That's all that is within my handbag, I hope you enjoyed this slightly different post and definitely check out Guilianna's post.

Thanks for being awesome,

Empties #9

Hey!
It's been an age since I did an Empties and my beauty trash has grown considerable. The majority of these products I have been trying to use up for the past few months, and I am so glad to see them empty.

Sephora Avocado Face Mask
When my cousin was in Dubai, I asked her to pick me up two avocado face masks from Sephora. I used this the night before school began and I really enjoyed it, the only thing was it didn't smell like avocados. My skin felt really soft and rejuvenated afterwards. If you are going to try one of these masks out don't remove the pink part completely before you apply it to your face as if you do it sticks together and is really hard to pull apart, from personal experience. The only downside is that Sephora's own brand test on animals which sucks so, I won't be repurchasing this product unless Sephora charge their ways.

Sanctuary Spa Cleanse Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser
After everyone went nuts for the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, I became intrigued about getting it but the price point kinda scared me especially when I had never tried a hot cloth cleanser before and I went for this one. I enjoyed using this, I used this every morning and night to cleanse my skin and it never dried out my skin. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the smell as it was pungent. I have found another cleanser, Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser that is half the price, works as well and has a nice smell. I would repurchase this again if I couldn't get my hands on the Superdrug one.

Boots Tea Tree & Hazel Exfoliating Face Scrub
I finally got this out of my collection, I really feel that I should get an award for it. I used to use this back in the day and I thought it was great for my skin but when using it up I have come to realise how awful it is. Firstly, there is plastic micro-beads which is a huge no no, not just for the environment but also they aren't the best for your skin. When I used it, I noticed it stung my face and that's not ideal. I won't be ever repurchasing this as it was all in all bad.

Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner
This is the second or even third bottle of this toner that I have gone through and I think it will be my last. I was having a look at the product list and noticed that the second highest ingredient was alcohol and that bothers me a little as alcohol isn't supposed to be great for your skin, can cause breakouts and dryness. It is a nice toner don't get me wrong but I feel that I could find something my skin might prefer.

Coco Loco Coconut Oil
I bought this as it as on offer and it did everything that a normal tub of coconut oil would do. I use it as a makeup remover sometimes but mostly I use it as a night moisturiser and as a shaving cream. It works amazing for all three things and leaves my skin feeling soft after shaving. It was also less than the €5 mark as in some places it can cost nearly €20 for the same amount.

Oriflame Discover Parisian Delight Body Scrub
I finally got this out of my collection after having it for 2 years. It wasn't a bad body scrub but the scent was very artificial and there were those plastic microbeads. I used this to exfoliate my legs and it did the job but I will definitely not be repurchasing this again.

Primark Eyelash Curler
I bought this at least 4 years ago and this product stemmed my hatred for eyelash curlers that I only get over this year. This curler never curled my eyelashes instead it pulled them out and I didn't like that form of torture, so I left to the back of my collection for years. I know Primark has a new eyelash curler that everyone is grabbing and I will probably try it out at some stage to but for this one it is going in the trash.

Catrice Camouflage Concealer in 010 Porcellain
This is my new holy grail concealer, I bought this tube back in April and I have been loving it ever since. It isn't a high coverage concealer but it is definitely medium. Unfortunately for any of my tanned friends the shade range is terrible as there are only 3. I used this as an under eye concealer and to cover up any pesky spots that may be lurking on my face. I already have another one on the go and with a great price point of less than €5 I don't see why I shouldn't get it.

Have you got any empties yet?

Thanks for being awesome,

10 More Childhood Shows I Miss

Hey,
I made a post a few months ago talking about some TV shows that I miss from when I was younger. Since then, I have thought a lot about other shows I used to watch as I child and I thought I would share with you ten more I miss.

Power Rangers
Having a brother influenced a lot of the shows we'd watch and also having four channels. I loved watching Power Rangers especially SPD, Ninja Storm and Wild Force. My favourite was Ninja Storm as I used to pretend I was always the pink ranger going round my garden pretending to kill random villains. All seasons of Power Rangers are on Netflix and I plan on watching them up until SPD.

The Crocodile Hunter
The iconic Steve Irwin who brought crocodiles and other unusual creatures into my world. I would always get to watch this on Discovery Kids, which now doesn't exist, in my Granny's house and I enjoyed sitting down and learning about these creatures that I had never seen before. Even though the TV show isn't on Netflix there is a movie that I will definitely watch as soon as I have time to.

Rugrats
As a toddler I was obsessed with the Rugrats, probably because I thought I was one, and I have video tapes and pictures of me with merch to prove it. A few years ago, I watched the Rugrats movie and fell back in love with all the characters including Angelica. My parents still go on about my brother and mine obsession with this show.

Kim Possible
Call me, bleep me if you wanna reach me. I always wanted to be Kim Possible but let's be honest I'm more like Wade. Kim the adventurous teen who fights crime, mostly against Dr, Drakken and Shego and continues to have a daily highschoolers life. What more do you need from a TV show? A badass and a sidekick by the name of Ron Stoppable. I used to get up early on a Saturday to watch it and it was always amazing.

H2O : Just Add Water
Another TV show that is thankfully on Netflix in its entirety. H2O a TV show about ordinary teenagers that turn into mermaids when touching water and also have other cool powers. This show gave off Aquamarine vibes. Nothing was better than pretending to be a mermaid or watch a H2O.

Sonny with a Chance
Sonny was probably one of the last few Disney shows that I actually liked. It was about Sonny who moves to LA to become an actress and joins the cast of So Random. I loved the rivalry between the casts of So Random and Mackenzie Falls. The only thing that bothered me was the decision to spin off So Random into a show with a live audience which I absolutely hated and thankfully it only lasted 1 season.

Raven
This isn't That's So Raven but it was nearly as good as it. Raven was an adventure game show for kids known as warriors who did tasks over 5 days and every day the warrior with the least lives would be eliminated. I loved the set as it was mystical and different to any other show.

Lizzy McGuire
This is the first show I remember getting into and loving, I even remember begging my mom to bring me to see it in the cinema and I did and it was amazing. It was a show about an ordinary girl and her ordinary world and I think that's why I liked it so much.

Quiz Zone
Now onto some Irish TV that gave me life and somehow aren't being made any more. Quiz Zone was a game show where one team member would have to go through an obstacle course while the others are in a room looking for an answer to a question. Only at certain times do the team members get to make contact with each other. It was the most entertaining show ever as some kids took it so seriously while others were so chill about it. I always wanted to do it but when I was in the correct age bracket they stopped making it.

Foreign Exchange
This show was about a magic portal between Galway, Ireland and Perth, Australia and the two unlikely teens that come across it. The Ireland portion of the show was filmed near my grandparents house and from the road you can still see the building that they used for boarding school. It was on Pop Girl until that got shut down but its still floating around the Internet. I hope to rewatch it soon as I started watching it 2 years ago and never finished it.

What TV shows do you miss?

Super Saving

Hey!
I like saving money as much as the next person. As a student, you really need to try to get every possible cent to stretch as far as it can go. I normally am not very frugal when it comes to saving money but when I really want to get something that's a little more on the expensive side, I go a little crazy saving for money. I am one of those people who saves money to buy things and I thought I would share a couple of tips.

Shop around
I know everyone has this tip at the top of their list but it truly works. When I was younger I used to get all my makeup and skincare from Boots but now I rarely do, unless there's a good offer, as Boots is normally quite overpriced compared to local pharmacies and supermarkets. I always compare prices for different items, books, beauty and even food in different shops. Try TK Maxx/TJ Maxx as you can find anything under the sun in there. I've seen more high end makeup there for less than €10 and loads of beautiful stationery. Saying that please be careful when getting makeup from places like TK Maxx as sometimes products can already be opened or damaged.

If you are more into shopping online, I use Price Spy which compares the price of an item through different online stores. It isn't overly accurate sometimes but it can help you go in the right direction. I compared getting a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge in several places and the cheapest was on Amazon at €4.48, Cloud 10 at €6.95 and Boots at €7.99. Obviously do this with caution as you don't want to get a fake or be scammed.

Equipment for defence against the red sea
Being a woman and getting a period every month is a pain and also really expensive. I wrote a post a while back about my thoughts on the Mooncup which I still use and adore. It makes my period a little easier as I don't have to worry about not having enough pads or tampons. I used to spend over €10 a month on the necessities but now it's down to around €2-€3. It's also much better for the environment and less waste going out into landfills =less money spend on rubbish disposal. If internal protection ain't your thing, cloth pads are always on option. You use them, wash them and use them again.

Take advantage of your Student ID
I finally got myself a Student Leap Card and I am so delighted as now I can get student tickets instead of paying for the more expensive adult ones. There are also offers in shops, cinemas and some restaurants. There's Unidays, where you get a percent off certain places but the list is so long, Superdrug, New Look, Boohoo Urban Outfitters, Nike and Apple just to name a few. I made my brother set up a Unidays account, so I could get some offers.

Store cards are good too
They aren't as good as a student card, but they can still save you some money. Some store cards are better than others, the best one I have come across to date is Superdrug's Health & Beauty Card. Free shipping with no minimum spend, special offers that no one else can get and surprise 10% off. Others are points based where you can use your points to cash in on something.

Make a target
If you are saving up for something big, a new phone, a car or money towards your next holiday,  I recommend making a target as you can see how far you've gone and how much more you need to save. I found this very helpful when I started saving for my car, I have €1000 saved in the past 1 1/2 - 2 years. I still haven't got the car yet as I hope to save another €1000 before trying to price one.

Dupes, dupes, dupes, dupes
Dupes have been saving my ass for the longest of times, and they are great if you are in a pinch and want a similar product to it's more expensive counterpart. I've heard a lot about the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and at one stage I was thinking of buying it but I'm glad I didn't as Lidl have a dupe for it. I have tried out the dupe before but I will when it comes back into stores, it's rumoured that it will be there at the end of November and at €5 I will definitely be trying that out.

Library Card
If you are in a pinch and want to read a new book that has just been released why not go to a local library and get a library card. It is a very inexpensive membership, some places even have free membership or it may only cost €10 and you can read as many books as you like. I lived in the library when I was younger and that's why my book collection never got overly huge as I was always getting books from the library. You can also order in a book you might like which is pretty cool.

5 Product Face

Hey!
It has been over 2 years since I did one of these 5 Product Face posts, if you want to see a cringe one click HERE. I've changed a lot since making that post in April 2015 and I thought today I would share with you what products I would use if I only had 5. My look won't be as natural as it was back in 2015.

Starting off with no primer, I used Catrice Liquid Camouflage in 010 Porcellain as a foundation and concealer to even out redness and camouflage any spots with a damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and bounced it into my skin until it looked natural and even. Onto brows, I outlined and filled them in with NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade in Brunette to make them bigger and bolder. I brushed the product through with a spoolie to make my brows look less blocky.

Next onto eyes, after priming my eyelids with my concealer, I set it all into place with the white shade from Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights and Contour Pro Palette. The transition shade used for the middle bronzer on the right and the darkest bronzer was used on the outer third. To add a little pop to my look, I used the gold highlighter in the middle of my lid as a spotlight and off course, I blended it like made.

On to the actual bronzing and highlighting, I used the bronzer on the left to give my face a subtle glow and the shade I used as a transition shade for my contour with a fan brush. It may seem weird using a fan brush but I find it puts on the product in the most effective way without too much clean up. With a pointed brush and the white shade, I clean up the contour to make it look less muddy. The mascara I'm using at the moment is Catrice Glam & Doll Curl & Volume Mascara which is out of this world if you want your lashes to stay curled as it stays all day. I firstly curl my lashes with a lash curler, put on the mascara, wait 10-15 minutes for it to dry and re-curl my lashes. If you are going to try this trick don't re-curl your lashes when they are still wet as it mightn't end too well.

For lips, I decided to keep it neutral and nature and I had to use everyone's favourite nude, Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit. The applicator is the only let down with this product but if you scrape off the excess it isn't that bad. I use the side of it to line my lips and use the flat part to colour in the rest.

If you are interested in the jumper I'm wearing in the photos it is from Stradivarius
What is your five product face?

Why I Don't Drink Right Now

Hey!
You might be a little confused by the title, an Irish person that doesn't drink, I'm shocked. In the majority of movies with an Irish person they normally are drunk or have some alcoholic beverage strapped to their hands while they say 'top of the morning' to their neighbour wearing an Aran jumper. Yes, this country is well-known for their drinking habits, even the Dail Eireann (parliament) has a bar in it but personally I don't get it at all. I don't see the point in drinking my life away and regretting it the next morning and here are a couple of reasons why I don't drink right now. Just to let you know I'm not trying to flag all Irish people as raging alcoholics. Also, the drinking age here is 18 but some people start before that.

I don't get the culture
The culture here in Ireland and probably other places is go out to get drunk and to let themselves go. I just don't understand going out to a creepy old pub, having a few drinks and not knowing what you did the night before. You hear stories of people losing things on nights out and I don't want that to happen to me.

Family matters
My parents aren't big consumers of the alcoholic variety and I have never in my 18 years seen either of them drunk or hungover. My grandparents on my dad side don't drink either. I never felted pressured into having a few scoops by family.

It's expensive
It is an expensive hobby if you are going out every week. Between the outfit, the works, prinks and the actual sesh, it costs a bomb. I would much prefer spending the money on clothes, books, Netflix, beauty or saving up for something big.

Empty calories
This might sound a little crazy but I would prefer to eat cake than drink a pint as cake tastes nicer and pint doesn't fill you up. Alcohol is like any other drink, except water, filled with calories, sugar and god knows what else. I would much prefer enjoying a slice of cake than try to drink something I don't really like.

I hope I don't sound too prissy but I have wanted to write this post for a couple months now and I thought it would be interesting to share. I don't think I will always not drink but I have plenty of time in the future not drinking, so I'm perfectly happy doing that right now.

Thanks for being awesome,

The August and September Edition

Hey,
It's been a while since I have done a The Edition post due to having other posts that I preferred to do instead but I thought I would update you about all that it going on.

Shows I've Been Watching

American Horror Story: Hotel
I finally got around to watching season 5 and to say I was a little disappointed in it would be an understatement. I liked the plot but there was no huge plot twist at the end which isn't AHS' style. It was watchable and had all the amazing actors, except Jessica Lange, and some more juicy bits for the theory that all the seasons are connected with several characters from previous seasons making cameo.

RuPaul's Drag Race
This is the show I watch during the week after I'm finished all my homework and want to relax. It is so easy to watch, not much thinking involved and it makes me laugh. I am currently watching season 6 but my favourite season is definitely 3. Raja is my queen! The Heels of Hell tour is coming to Dublin during the week of my pre mocks which is so annoying as I would love to go. Hopefully, they'll come back next year and I will definitely go.

Riverdale
Wow! I was not expecting this to be so good but it was amazing. I can't wait for season 2 which should be out soon and I'm looking forward to getting back into the town of Riverdale. For anyone who hasn't watched Riverdale it is very similar to High School Musical except if Ryan got murdered. There's a jock that wants to sing and do football, a pair of twins that were inseparable and a preppy girl who wants to do good in school. Obviously it's not the exact same as HSM there's no prancing around a golf club filled with rage but it is a coming of age sort of TV show.

Stranger Things
This was the next on my list of things to watch and not going to lie it took me a while to get into this series. It is set in the 80's where Will Byers go missing and his friends try to find him but end up finding a girl instead. It is such a unique plot and I'm looking forward to season 2 when it comes out later this month.

Books I've Been Reading

I have been watching Melanie's videos for over 2 years now and when I heard that she was writing a book I knew I needed it in my life. She is the first Irish YouTuber that I ever watched and I still love her content. It is a part memoir, part life guide and there's a lot of advice in it for anyone dealing with anything from relationships, eating disorders or the pressures of social media, it felt nice having a big sister in a book to give you some advice on everything.

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
I took a little break from Sarah J. Maas and now I am back on that train with the fourth book of the TOG series. I went through a little reading rut this month, so I took a break from this book and started a Fully Functioning Human instead. I haven't finished this yet. I haven't got fair enough into it to give you my full opinion but so far so good.

Things I've Been Doing

Back to School
September came with back to school session and I didn't mind going back. After a month, I've had enough of this hard work thing and want to take a break. I've started Maths grinds and I'm up to my eyeballs in homework and study. My pre-mocks are in two weeks and I'm not looking forward to them at all.

Higher Options
I went to Higher Options the day before my driving test which kept my nerves at bay. Higher Options is a convention where you have all the colleges of Ireland with some from Europe and the US in one hall. I enjoyed going around to different colleges and getting booklets and asking about their science courses as that's what I want to do. I have 3 open days coming up in the next month and I'm looking forward to having a look around the campus.

Driving Test
I failed my first driving test which is pretty standard for the majority of learner drivers but I failed on a good few things. I would go into the details of what I need to improve on but there is a list. I was pretty upset about it, not going to lie, and if you saw my Snapchat story you would remember how upset I was as I even cried on my story, first time to do that. I was disappointed as nothing went the way it should have gone, I had a lesson beforehand and everything went smoothly but during the test it turned for the worst. I hope to reapply soon and hopefully pass it the next time.

Blog Awards Ireland Finalist in Best Lifestyle Blog
This is the third time I will be writing this, firstly it was my excitement for being Longlisted, then the shock of getting Shortlist and now I'm a fricking finalist! It still feels pretty surreal to me. I was unable to go to the actual awards ceremony as it was on a school night which was a bummer but it looked amazing. I received yesterday to say I got the Bronzer award of my category and it really is the icing on the cake. I had a feeling I wouldn't win as I has the baby of the bunch with the least experience but I got Bronze and Bronze is golden to me.

Things I've Been Loving

Look What You Made Me Do - Taylor Swift
This song has been my jam since the day it was released. I can't wait for Reputation to come out in nearly a month. It is such a sing along song and I adore the music video. I think it is very Blank Space 2.0.

Wet Brush Detangler Hair Brush
This might seem a little strange to have a favourite as a hair brush but it was badly needed. I've been using the same hairbrush that I bought in Primark for as long as I can remember. I had heard a lot about the brand Wet Brush and when I saw them in TK Maxx for €10 I decided to pick one up and it changed everything. My scalp used to get irritated by the harsh bristles of my old hair brush which wasn't pleasant. I could never brush my hair when it was wet because the brush would tug at my hair, that's not good either. I don't have either of those problems with this brush and it also looks really cute.

What have you been up to?

Thanks for being awesome,

Lip Products - My Makeup Collection

Hey!
I've never shown my complete makeup collection before, so I thought I could make it a little series as if I did it in all one post it would go on for days. Today I am going to show you my lip products as I have a large quantity of them. Some of these lip products you've heard you rave about them before and others I have really ever shown.

Pinks

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink In The Afternoon
This was one of the first lipsticks I ever bought. It's a nice nude pink lipstick that can be worn the whole year round, in the brighter months just by itself or in the colder months a nude lip liner. The staying power isn't great due to it not being a liquid lipstick but it is comfortable on the lips and doesn't dry them out.

Sleek Lip VIP in Backstage
A bright coral that has a hint of chocolate is the only way to describe this Lip VIP. It has better staying power than the majority of lipstick, so I think it's a lipstick-liquid lipstick hybrid that have the comfort of a lipstick and the staying power of a liquid lipstick. There is also a lip gloss in the bottom of the tube but I personally don't really like lip gloss.

Benefit Benebalm
I've had this for ages too and reminds me of a more moisturising Maybelline Baby Lips. It is the first high end lip product I got and this was before I decided to try to go cruelty-free with my makeup. It's a nice lip balm and does the trick to add a little colour to your lips on a natural makeup sort of day.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Raspberry
I don't know why I even still have this as I've grown out of this shade. When I first started getting into makeup I wore more pinks, baby and girly pinks which I wouldn't go near now. The packaging is awful to say the least but it only cost like €3.30 so I couldn't complain.

Flormar Watermelon Balm
Another tinted lip balm and I much prefer this over Benebalm as it smells like watermelon, it has a nicer tint and is much cheaper. It isn't very moisturising but it has SPF 15. I suppose you win some you lose some.

Seventeen Lip Lustre Pink
I'm not really a lip gloss gal and I sometimes like putting this over another lipstick to add something. It is a very pale pink and contains a little shimmer that's quite cute.

Nudes

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Obsession
I like pairing this with my Revlon Pink in the Afternoon lipstick as it darkens it a little. I have noticed with these lip liners that you need to prep your lips before you use it as it makes your lips more dry looking. It is a whiny nude which goes with nearly every lipstick.

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit
I talked about this in My Top 10 Under €10 post a couple weeks ago. This is a natural nude on me and has a great lasting power. Since it is a liquid lipstick it does go into the cracks of my lips.

Revlon Color Burst Balm Stain in Honey
This is another lipstick I have had since I started this blog. This is a pinky nude that contains a little shimmer which I like. I used to wear this the whole time when I purchased it but now I don't as often anymore.

Reds

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Amsterdam
Another cult favourite, I feel nearly everyone has one from the range. It is a nice bright red, not very bold but can gradually become more intense if you layer it. This was also in my Top 10 Makeup Products Under €10.

Kiko Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick in 117
This is not as bright as the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream but paired with the lip liner it looks very bright. I love the packaging as it is so luxe for a drugstore lipstick. This is a lipstick-liquid lipstick hybrid and the majority of the lipstick lasted while I had dinner recently which I was surprised about.

Seventeen Lip Lustre Red
Another lip gloss, I don't think I've ever used this, so I can't really tell you my opinion on it. It has a nice red pigmentation though.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Red Diva
This has some long-lasting power and I usually only put this under a lipstick if I know I won't get to touch up for a couple of hours. Same formula as Obsession and has a strong red-pink vibe to it.

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in On Fire
This has a very glossy texture and look to it, that might explain why it's called Colour Rush Balm. It is very similar to the Seventeen Lip Lustre but isn't a lip gloss. This lipstick has a really nice subtle red but the staying power isn't there at all. It can't survive eating or drinking.

Kiko Creamy Colour Lip Liner in 306
This is the matching lip liner for my Kiko lipstick, and they both work so well together as I already said when I use this liner it lasts much longer than the lipstick by itself. I haven't used it with any other lipstick yet but I will definitely start experimenting.

Bolds

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Kooky
My only bold lipstick, I was always afraid of bold lips but when I saw this in Edinburgh Airport for £3 I thought I might as well try it out. Firstly, the smell reminds me of Kool-Aid. I find that if I wear this and keep the rest of my look natural it washes me out but I feel that since it's nearing winter I might get a chance to wear this more often.

What lipsticks do you have?

Thanks for being awesome,

My Life Hacks

Hey!
Where would I be without my life hacks? Definitely unorganised and forgetful! Over the years I have found and adapted a few life hacks for myself if that's for at home or in school.

Boost Charge Your Phone

We've all experienced when you need to go somewhere for the day and your phone is less than 20% and you know you won't have time to charge it up until you get home. I have used this trick so many times to get me out of a dead phone, this cuts down time and charges up your phone fully in about 40 minutes. I'm not to sure can you do this on an Android phone but I presume there is a variation. Firstly turn off everything Mobile Data, Bluetooth, Wifi etc, activate Airplane mode and put your brightness to the lowest. Next head into Settings - General - Accessibility - Greyscale. Once all that's been done, plug your phone in and get charging.

Fresher Hair

Nothing worse than waking up with not so fresh hair and I hate the feeling of it too. The night before I normally put in some dry shampoo and during the night while I move around in my sleep the dry shampoo absorbs the oil and the white cast disappears. Also, it's one less thing to do in the morning.

Locker Essentials

Another school related one! If you have a locker then there's a few things you might need. I always have magnets to put my timetable to the inside of the door which is great as I don't have to take out my journal. Also, try to keep your locker tidy as it's harder to find books when it's messy and you can end up damaging books. Keep a spare durable shopping bag in your locker just in case a. your bag is too heavy for all your books or b. your books can't all hit into your bag.

Handy Reminder

If you are like me and sometimes forgets to bring something home from school, write it on your hand. I know this isn't really a hack but if you put a memo on your hand you will definitely see it. I use this constantly for getting homework from my locker at the end of the day, so I can spend the least time and get going home. If you are afraid it may rub off, write it near to your wrist as it is less likely to rub off there.

Log Off

I don't mean log off your phone for the rest of your life to be more productive but instead delete the app you spend most time scrolling through to procrastinate and only let yourself log in on your browser. My procrastination app of choice is Facebook as you can scroll for days and it will never end. I find using a browser to use Facebook makes me spend less time as the website isn't as polished as the app and can lag. If you want to take it a little further, log out each time you use your app of choice so you have to enter your password to go into it again. You won't feel like using it as you have to enter your password or figure out what your password is.

Pomodoro Technique

Hands up who likes to procrastinate? Me! The pomodoro technique is a time management method that helps you focus on a task for 25 minutes and then get a 5 minute break. I find this great for doing a couple of those little 5 minute to dos, editing photos, scheduling tweets and studying. I use it for an array of things. There are 2 good apps to help stick to this technique, Tide (free) and Forest (€2.30). I prefer Tide as if you have to cancel the session for whatever reason they don't mind while if you do it in Forest you get a dead tree.

Emergency Kit

An emergency kit is perfect for emergencies, if you cut yourself, need to tie up your hair or it the red sea comes to town, a kit with everything you might need is important. In my emergency kit, I have a body spray, blister plasters, mints, money, pads, tampons, plasters, tissues, money, lip balm, hand cream and some painkillers. There are some things I use more than others but it's nice to have something for any problem.

Schedule EVERYTHING!

I don't mean schedule your whole life, if you are into that then do it but me personally I can't stick to a strict schedule. If you are a blogger, YouTuber, Instagramer or like to tweet a lot, I would recommend to schedule. I schedule everything when it comes to online, my blog posts, YouTube videos, tweets and Instagram pictures and it means I don't have to worry about not tweeting in the past few days or forgetting to publish a blog post. It means that I don't have to worry when I mightn't be near a laptop.

Armour For Your Charger

Apple chargers are the worst, they don't last very long and always end up breaking really easily. I hate paying €25 for a charger that doesn't last very long, so I took to the internet to find a way to protect it. You take a spring from a pen and stretch it out a little and wrap it around the wire and place it at both ends. Be careful when doing this as you might get stabbed by the spring. This protects your charger from exposing wires near the ends and have another level of re-enforcements. Also, you'll know which charger is yours as it has springs on it.
